These notes were part of the
course 10-639 up until 1995 and given by Brian Kennedy.
Brian was very keen on showing
the relationships between animal models in Henderson's
terminology with traditional
quantitative genetics theory. Thus, some of the notes
contain results from small
research projects that Brian and his students pursued.
The notes are given here
as part of history. Parts of them have been used in the current
course notes for 10-639.
