Two floors of the animal wing of the Department of Animal and Poultry Science have been renovated in 2000 and converted into 10 laboratories with over 3000 square feet of space. The lab will be used for research into transgenics, discovering performance enhancing genes, and clonal propagation of animals that have multiple genetic modifications. The labs will become equiped and begin to function in 2001.
