I grew up on a small, family-operated dairy farm in Southwestern Ontario. I have always had a passion for animals and agriculture, so in 2012 I started my undergraduate studies here at the University of Guelph, majoring in Animal Biology. In the second year of my undergraduate degree, I starting working as a research assistant, both in the feed industry and here at the University of Guelph. In the following years of my schooling, I became more and more involved in research, particularly in dairy science and nutrition. After graduating in 2016, I decided to continue my career in research by starting my Masters of Science.
Currently I am a graduate student in the Lactation Systems Biology lab, working under the supervision of Dr. John Cant. I am focusing my research on creating a model to predict the lactation persistency in dairy cattle.
