Ivan Campos is an undergraduate student of Veterinary Medicine at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2014 he conducted a scientific research focused on genomics, which involved high-density panels of molecular markers SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) used in Nellore cattle. He also made a model of database to use for data in large scale alongside Prof. Dr. Ricardo Ventura. Since then, he has developed an interest in Genetics and Animal Breeding, as well as in the usage of computational tools for research in the field.
Recently, he has earned a scholarship from the University of São Paulo to do an internship as a researcher in the University of Guelph, at The Centre for Genetic Improvement of Livestock (CGIL).
