Bayode hails from Nigeria. He pursued his bachelor's degree at the University of Agriculture Abeokuta majoring in Animal breeding and genetics. After obtaining his first degree he worked as an assistant supervisor at Obasanjo farms Nigeria, assisting in the selection of poultry birds used for the production of commercial birds. His quest for knowledge took him to the University of Edinburgh for a Master's degree in Quantitative genetics and genome analysis. Shortly after his second degree was achieved in 2012, he was employed as a research assistant at Aviagen limited, charged with the role to model fertility traits in broiler breeders. He returned back home in 2013 to give back to his community by working for Novert agro consulting company as a genetic consultant rendering his services to numerous poultry farms. Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Christine Baes, where he is investigating the effect of Runs of Homozygosity as a consequence of inbreeding in Dairy cattle.
